Should I book an appointment for services?

No but we recommend scheduling an appointment. You can send a request to us at (https://www.vcmtechnologies.com/contact) or Call us at (613) 912-8377. If you are unable to reach a live representative, leave us a voice message and we will be in touch as soon as possible.

How long will it take to repair/upgrade my computer/laptop?

It depends on the issue but our goal is to get you back up and running as quick as we can. We strive to perform most repairs within 24 hours of receiving your computer/laptop. Note that advanced hardware repairs or repairs that require custom ordered parts can take longer depending on the severity of the issue.

We offer Express Service if you need your computer back right away.

Do you make house calls?

Yes, VCM Technologies Inc. can do onsite repairs at your home or office. If a new part must be ordered from the manufacturer, we manage this for you. Just contact me and arrange an appointment.

DATA RECOVERY FAQ

How much does data recovery cost?

The cost depends on media type and physical condition.

Flash Storage, USB, Pendrive, MSD/SD Card $70

HDD with Logical/Bad Sectors $120-$150​

How long does it take to recover my data?

It could be between 2-3 days and 1 week depending the damage, complex devices and how much data to recover.

How much does it cost to have my media (hard drive, flash drive,...) examined?

BASIC diagnostic is FREE
ADVANCED diagnostic $30​

(Advanced Diagnostic fee will discount from the cost of the repair if you decide to use our services)

Do I get to choose where the recovered data is stored?

We recommend to save the data onto a brand-new storage media. The customer could provide their own media.

How long would it take to get my computer back?

It depends on the issue (and how busy we are) but most repairs are done within 24 hours of receiving your computer/laptop. Note that repairs or upgrades require custom ordered parts can take longer depending on the severity of the issue.

We offer Express Service if you need your computer back right away. Complex repairs are done "in-house" to ensure the fastest turnaround time possible.

The diagnostic and troubleshooting are free. Free diagnostic applies unless no other service is carried out.

Yes. Our service is based on in a "first come first serve" basis but if you require immediate attention we offer Express Service for an additional fee.

How long would it take to get my computer back?

It depends on the issue (and how busy we are) but most repairs are done within 3-5 business days and sometimes even sooner! We take pride in having an extremely fast turn-around and in many cases we have fixed our customers computers on the spot for them. All or our repairs are done "in-house" to ensure the fastest turnaround time possible.
